A story of contemporary Bangladesh. The Govt. formed a new force, RAB, to kill the criminals. Almost everybody greeted the force. Here a young college lecturer, Tanu Hawk, goes through the facts and situations. His brother is a "criminal" who maybe killed at any time. Tanu is moving across the capital city to save him. A woman helps who loves Tanu. Innovative storytelling, heart wrenching "realities" behind the bed of roses--this novel is a masterful one in the art of contemporary fiction.

Bandhal, a fiction indeed—eventful fiction—but not an indifferent one. The novel is a well planned project to identify some important characteristics of the public history and transformation. Tarek Khan landscaped a vast area with its public lifestyle of the southwest of Bangladesh.
It's a very big, deep, and necessary history of river-based population of riverine Bengal.

Fishing In The Nest Of Snakes

The cropland is over flooded. There is a big thicket in the middle of that. In the rainy season the big fishes crowd there coming from the rivers as well as all of the snakes come from the underground.
Two boys went there to fish.
The fiction is written in Bengali. Not available in another language.

A novel, an example for many things in a short space; not scatteredly, not occasionally; first to last completely in accordance with the laws of novel.

A story of a group of villagers. They lead their lives in their own way, almost in a same way. They have no culture, no dream, but they have a loving mind. This mind make them create troubles.
A teenager boy loved a girl, but he raped her suddenly! Her relatives moved to cut his penis off. The plot is set in a village of Bangladesh during 1980s. Many things depicted about a village in a short space, 4420 words only.

One side of it has a constant and casual relation between life and water-flow; on the other hand we see a realistic narration of what happens if the water-flow is stopped by any means: a large life-cycle suffers tragic and terrible consequences.
